I woke up OBESE
Before I knew it, I was 40 and obese! It feels strange but I've just been diagnosed with Obesity. I'm laughing a bit as I type this but, yeah, it's official; I'm fat! I've been struggling with poor physical health for a bit and quite frankly I knew my weight had a fair bit to do with it. I've reached that stage where climbing the stairs leaves me a bit breathless and I've secretly gone up like 3 clothes sizes. (Mum, no medium Boxer Shorts this Christmas; I'm an XL!). In fact, I will just message her now and let her know.
Done.
I'm going to begin posting regular updates on my physical health. Tomorrow it's weigh-in day.
How can you help?
Tell me about your health journey and how you've built healthy habits. Alternatively, just cheer from the side lines. x

Panic attack on train talk down (Public Transport)
Переглядів 2,2 тис.2 роки тому
Some of my first experience of panic attacks happened on the crowded train to College when I was 16, early in the morning. I didn't really know what it was, I just knew I felt like I needed to get off the train ASAP. My palms would sweat and stomach would churn and I would convince myself I needed the toilet and I was going to embarrass myself in front of the other passengers. I'd be convinced ...

The majority of visitors to this channel take sertraline and the questions I am asked often cover side effects, how long until it will work and whether it will make you happy. I am always happy to answer these questions, but what I realised is that many people are desperate for non-technical information about Sertraline in a manner that is easy to access and easier to understand. So, I wrote a ...

Talking about antidepressant withdrawal is positive in some respects. I'm on day 3. Day 1 I felt calmer, dry mouth, day 2 insomnia and loss of appetite. Day 3 so far nothing, I took it in the morning with food. Taking with food helps, I noticed. I'm on 25mg so far.

    The first day trying it I experienced: -extreme exhaustion and weakness -dizziness with a bad headache -dehydration -felt like my teeth would fall out -lack of appetite. Stopped after day 1 and still feeling effects on the 3rd day barely able to get out of bed. Was just one dose of 25mg definetly didn’t respond well with me.

    Im 33 with five kids and finally decided to go on sertraline as i had sudden onset of panic/anxiety attacks that crippled me for two months coupdnt leave the house and had no idea where they came from, until i realised i was suppressing my ptsd from my ex's attempted murder on me with heavy marijuana use for the last year, quit that three weeks ago and started sertaline two weeks ago, went through the withdrawls hard, even went in an ambulance from panic attacks. Fast forward to today, day 12 of 50mg sertraline, i take half a tablet in the morning and after lunch same time everyday, side affects have been mild headaches, nausea in the morning, diahhrea with no gut pain, yawning alot, tired but refuse to sleep (five kids cant do that 🫢) I still get racing heart when i wake up but its getting better every morning from half morning of panic to about 1 hr, im trusting the process on top of having chamomile tea twice a day and it really calms me, going to try get back into lifting weights and yoga after i put on weight again because eating a healthy diet and excersise is crucial to healing your brain, i hope everyone going through similar experiences get through the first few weeks, trust the process amd reading everyones comments honestly gives me hope and calmness that their is light at the end of the tunnel ❤

      @yasam5515 I feel like a veil has been lifted and I'm starting to see the light! I have absolutely no desire for marijuana, I have gained a steady 2kg, my energy is great, my thoughts are positive, I think the sertraline has kicked in, still mild diahhrea in the mornings, berocca before bed and I wake up refreshed, sertraline has done wonders for me, I've been doing exposure therapy and getting out to go to bunnings as it's my favourite place, back into my gardening and not ignoring phone calls and visitors ♥️ thankyou for asking 😊

    Zoloft causes major issues with gastrointestinal/gut health long-term. Western medicines have debilitating long term side effects! Do not use long term. Do your research. Your mood/anxiety is related to your gut health. Bacteria dysbiosis and inflammatory foods affect how we feel. Figure out your gut health and physical/mental/psychological issues will slowly diminish. I'm a psychotherapist.I've been there. Natural supplements are the way to go! I have replaced Zoloft with Ashwagandh, L-Theanine, Magnesium, Omega 3 for the issues described in this video. Go natural - supplements and healthy food. "Let they food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food" Hippocrates (the father of medicine) Doctors take the Hippocratic oath to do no harm. Ya right.

    • @AHappyChange
      @AHappyChange 21 день тому

      Realistically anytime you adjust the dose you are putting your brain through an incredible amount of change. This is why most sensible GPS would say “6 months at a constant dose” is the amount of time to start to feel ok consistently. If you’re at 150 now - give it a few months at that dose. Also remember that the meds are a piece of the puzzle needed for improved wellbeing. Diet, fitness, talking therapy all play a huge role ❤️

    Having been on zoloft 100mg for last 15+yrs and having come off it by myself (only accidently to start with) i never realises how many subtle side effects I had for Years-only to be put on more medications to combat the side effects😂. I have been reading alot into it recently and surprisingly found out they're only meant to be used short term eg 6-12months!!! The root cause of the problem if often not addressed either. They just make me feel emotionally numb.. I was horrified to find (accidently when I couldn't fill script) after 2 days no more bluey vision (my optometrist confirmed ssris makes eyes dry hence my blurry vision). My periodic vertigo subsided and had trouble falling asleep (last 1-2yrs-was prescribed more meds 4 this😂), weight gain, generally feeling half zombie like I didn't really have emotional lows but neither highs, lastly absolutely No sex drive.. the worst thing was my GP not once gave me any info on these possible side effects, not once after 15yr on them she just kept filling the script. I was and still am so shocked that all these symptoms which I never knew were from taking zoloft100 were from the meds!! I am now trying to heal and improve my mental health naturally by diet, exercise, meditation etc.. the insomnia was prob the most annoying symptom for me oh and the poor memory!!!!
